Madeleine Addeo

Maddy hails from Yarmouth, Maine and has been guiding Yoga classes since 2013. With her she brings experience in Vinyasa and Power Yoga, as well as Yin and Restorative Yoga. Maddy has dedicated much time and energy to studying mindfulness meditation and Yoga theory; mastery she now shares with her students in her deeply devotional classes. Being a dedicated Yogi herself, Madeleine understands the importance of a consistent practice and her commitment shines through her inspired teachings. Students will be given tools to develop deeper self-compassion and positive self-worth as they navigate this ever-changing human experience.

Meet Madeleine Pizey, RYT 800

Tell us about the evolution of your Yoga practice:

I began practicing Yoga in college to try a new physical activity other than running. I quickly learned and strongly believe that Yoga is more than a workout - it is a lifestyle; a path that transforms the physical into the spiritual. Yoga transformed my life.

What’s one thing you wish you could tell yourself when you began your Yoga journey?

It isn't a performance, be gentle and kind to yourself, slower is better.

Why do you teach Yoga?

I teach Yoga because I deeply believe in the practice of it. There is nothing more fulfilling than supporting others by creating a safe container for the student to tend to their inner world and to witness the deep shifts, transformation, and growth that are possible when a person learns how to listen to their body and then move with the wisdom it offers.

How do you hope your students will feel after taking your class?

I hope that students leave with a relaxed nervous system and embodiment. I also hope they remember their own good nature, inner resilience and strength.
