Meet Monica Pattera, RYT 200

Tell us about the evolution of your Yoga practice:

“I took my first Yoga class in 2005 and focused most of my practice on Power Yoga and Restorative classes. I noticed the alignment of body postures with my Spirit and this inspired me to take my first Yoga Teacher Training in 2015. From there I developed a daily Ashtanga practice which shaped the way I see bodies - my own as well as those of others.”

What’s one piece of advice you would share with a student new to Yoga?:

"Nothing… in not knowing I continued the journey I was meant to take.”

Why do you teach Yoga?

“Seeing others transform from the time they enter a class to when they leave feels monumental and purposeful. And because I like to wear Yoga clothes all the time :)”

Monica’s favorite inspirational quote:

"If you want to change the fruits, you will first have to change the roots. If you want to change the visible, you must first change the invisible.”
