300-Hour Yoga Advanced Teacher Training

YOGA EMBODIED: The Art & Practice of Teaching

With Eve Cowan & Alana Mitnick

Some experiences don't just expand your knowledge, they change your life.

Yoga Embodied is a transformative 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training designed for teachers ready to dive deep. Built on a 200-hour foundation, this training moves beyond the mechanics of posture and into the full, living art of teaching — into philosophy, the subtle body, pranayama, and the heart of what it truly means to guide others.

Rooted in a clear, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach, you'll explore a rich and varied curriculum — from advanced asana and creative sequencing, to adaptive yoga teaching for diverse populations, yoga psychology, somatic practices, and ancient yogic texts. The goal is not just technical mastery, but the embodied wisdom to hold space with depth, presence, and integrity.

This is an immersive, devotional journey — one that asks you to look as far inward as outward. You'll be invited to reconnect with your why, refine your voice, and discover a depth of understanding that changes not only how you teach, but how you live.

At the heart of everything is community. You'll be surrounded by fellow teachers who challenge, support, and inspire — and the bonds formed here often last a lifetime, continuing to shape your teaching and your practice as your practice unfolds.

Yoga Embodied is more than an advanced certification. It's an answer to a calling. Whether you're here to deepen your practice, elevate your teaching, or step into a fuller, more authentic expression of yourself — this training will meet you exactly where you are, and carry you somewhere profound.

Meet Your Guides

  • Together, Alana and Eve bring over three decades of dedicated teaching experience, including three years of close collaboration on BSY’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training — Eve as lead trainer, Alana as supporting teacher and guide of her own 30-hour Yin and Restorative YTTs.

Yoga Embodied was born from a shared desire to offer the teachings of yoga wholeheartedly — from a place of humility, inquiry, and devotion.

Eve brings fire and air — dynamic, illuminating, and expansive. Alana brings water and earth — fluid, grounding, and deeply present. Together, they create a beautifully balanced container — offering a well-rounded approach rooted in love, integrity, and a genuine passion for the craft of teaching.

  • Eve Cowan

Empowering others to step into their highest potential has been the heartbeat of Eve’s work since she began teaching in 2010. Now in her third consecutive year leading Bodhi’s 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, she is thrilled to shape the next generation of advanced guides in this 300-Hour YTT. Her classroom alchemy is powerful, playful, and deeply intuitive—a vivid environment designed to shift students from passive practitioners to active authors of their own journeys. Deeply passionate about awakening the unique, authentic voice within every budding instructor, Eve holds a magnetic space that empowers trainees to step off the mat feeling inspired, fiercely capable, and ready to share their medicine with the world.

  • Alana Mitnick

E-RYT 500, YACEP, RPYT, Alana has been a devoted yoga practitioner since 1996 and has taught consistently since 2006. Known for her skillful, compassionate leadership, she brings a steady presence and deep integrity to everything she offers within the yoga community. Her teaching emphasizes somatic awareness, meditation, and a trauma-informed approach that warmly welcomes students of all ages, bodies, and abilities. A true teacher's teacher, Alana specializes in working with diverse populations — beginners, seniors, and prenatal/postnatal students among them — meeting each person exactly where they are. What Makes our Yoga Teacher Training Unique?

PERSONAL GROWTH + COMMUNITY SUPPORT

PERSONALIZED INSTRUCTION

A SAFE CONTAINER FOR EXPERIMENTATION

MENTORSHIP + TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES

At the 300-hour level, transformation moves deeper — beyond technique and into the very marrow of your teaching. Here, the most profound growth emerges from continuous self-inquiry, and wisdom shared within a trusted sangha multiplies in ways that solo practice cannot. Your training is held by seasoned teachers who bring not only expertise, but the compassionate insight developed through years of devoted practice and service to the art. Alongside them, your cohort becomes something rare — a circle of peers who challenge, witness, and elevate one another, fellow teachers who truly understand the nuanced terrain you are navigating. These bonds weave themselves into the living fabric of your teaching life, a community you will return to again and again as you continue to inquire, embody, and step more fully into who you are as a teacher.

Here you arrive with years of practice, lived experience, and a teaching voice already taking shape. Our role is not to imprint a method upon you, but to draw out what is most essential and alive in your teaching — to help you locate the art that is uniquely yours. Through close mentorship and individualized guidance, your strengths are refined, your edges met with care, and the subtler dimensions of your teaching are given room to fully emerge. You will be seen — not as a student moving through a curriculum, but as a teacher coming into your own. What you leave with is an embodied presence that is grounded, clear, and unmistakably yours.

In this sacred container, experiential anatomy and yoga philosophy become a wholehearted investigation. This is where alignment principles and ancient texts stop living on the page and begin living in the body. Within a small, trusted cohort, you will engage with classical teachings not as concepts to be memorized, but as embodied frameworks to be explored, questioned, and woven into the fabric of how you move, how you teach, and how you live. Facilitated discussion moves beyond comprehension into genuine inquiry — sitting with paradox, surfacing your own assumptions, and discovering where the teachings inspire, challenge, or quietly transform you. The teachings become a living and breathing practice — experienced from the inside out.

Teaching is no longer a bridge to cross — it is the practice itself. Within our studio community, you will step into real teaching opportunities designed to deepen your embodied understanding of the craft: leading classes, receiving skilled mentorship, and integrating feedback in real time. Guidance from seasoned teachers and fellow trainees sharpens not just your voice and technique, but your presence, your intuition, and your capacity to hold space for others. You leave not simply prepared to teach, but already teaching — with the confidence that arises naturally from self-trust and embodied wisdom.
